From the Editor: March 2025

In this editorial, I argue that American democracy is under severe attack, citing the Trump administration’s policies on immigration, civil service, diversity efforts, and international relations as evidence. It places current threats in historical context, noting that major democratic gains—voting rights, civil rights, labor rights—have always required struggle, not passivity. The piece urges readers to take up the fight for democracy through words, action, and solidarity, framing civic engagement as both a duty to past generations and a necessity for future ones.
